Effective January 1st 2021, Health Canada's new regulations regarding Child Resistant Containers (CRC) takes effect.
What does this mean for me?
Many of the various open (refillable) tank/pod devices and their components that are currently available for sale in Canada, will not be allowed for sale in Canada after January 1st 2021. While we have been working hard on stocking new compliant CRC kits & components, you should be aware that these regulation changes may affect you.
What types of products are affected?
Most refillable, open e-liquid system sold in 2020 or before are affected. See below for a list of devices/tanks we've recently sold and have identified as not being CRC compliant. This includes, starter kits with an open-tank refillable option, all individual tanks, and most refillable pods.
Why don't they just make my device/tank compliant?
Many of these manufacturers supply a global market. Canada is one of the first countries to legislate CRC requirements on e-cigarette products. This means, many of the manufacturers have to re-design their products to become compliant for sale in Canada. We expect this may take some time.
What should I do?
Check the list below. If you see your model on the list, and it shows it may not be compliant, then you should switch your device to a CRC model as soon as possible. The supplies (refillable pods, etc...) for many of these models, will no longer be legal to sell in Canada after January 1st 2021. Visit us in-store to ask for more assistance in upgrading your kit to a CRC approved container.
